Our guide will pick you up from El Callo port at 09:00 am to drive toward Lima City Centre. We start our City Tour of Lima with a great panoramic view of Huaca Pucllana, an old pre-Inca construction dating back to 500 DC. Later, we will head towards the city’s heart to visit its colonial site. Once we get there, we will start a gentle walking tour that will take us to various city attractions. Among them stand out: The Paseo de la Republica (Promenade of the Republic), San Martin Square and the Plaza Mayor(Main Square of Lima), with their different buildings: Government Palace, Archbishop’s Palace, the BasilicaCathedral and the Municipal Palace. We continue our tour at the Convent of San Francisco, which was built in colonial times and still keeps all the treasures from the Spanish era, including subterranean catacombs. After visiting the centre of Lima, we will head to the modern section of this great metropolis and visit the San Isidro district. Finally, we will visit the district of Miraflores, which has a pleasant shopping centre named Larcomar, built on a spectacular cliff overlooking the Pacific Ocean. Afterwards, we will drive towards the Ruins of Pachacamac, located 40 minutes south of Lima. To better understand this important archaeological site, we will first visit the Pachacamac Museum, which is located at the ruins’ entrance. At this small museum, we can see various ancient relics found at the site during archaeological excavations. Among the remains, we will see multiple decorated ceramics, textiles and carving woods representing the Pachacamac God. Afterwards, we will leave the museum and explore the site with our local guide. While walking through the sanctuary, we will visit its most important pyramids, which stand out. The north pyramid is a well-preserved structure with a truncated shape. The north pyramid allows impressive views of the nearby Lurin Valley and the Pacific Ocean from the top; you can also see the large plazas the Incas built to receive hundreds of pilgrims who venerated this god. On our tour, we will also see the Acllahuasi temple or the house of Mamaconas (the name given to a particular group of women sent from Cusco or other essential cities to come to the place and take care of the religious ceremonies and the production of fine textiles for the nobility). At the end of the tour, you will return to El Callao port to rejoin your ship.

When booking a tour with a local tour operator like us, you may wonder if your money is safe or if the operator is legit. LAS ADVENTURE has been operating since 2007, offering a range of tours around South America, mainly shore excursions to Machu Picchu and the Galapagos Islands. I understand people’s concerns about booking and paying large amounts of money. By booking with us, you can guarantee your holidays and make your trip hassle-free.
We offer the same tours you can find with the cruise liner; the big difference is that we operate our tours directly. We don’t use middlemen. The level of services is the same, even better. We work only with small groups, making a better travel experience without problems. The main thing is that we offer this tour a lot less than the cruise liner, offering you a high level of services, so why pay more when you can get the same services with us at a lower price?
We know the myth that ‘cheap is expensive’, but not always. This depends on who you book your trip with. We are here to offer a lifetime holiday experience with excellent value for money, not to rip off people.
