You will be picked up from your hotel in Lima by our guide in private vehicle. We start our City Tour of Lima with a great panoramic view of La Huaca Pucllana, an old pre-Inca construction dating back to 500 DC. Later on we will head towards the heart of the city to visit its colonial site. Once we get there we will start a gentle walking tour that will take us to see various attractions of the city. Among them stand out; The Paseo de la Republica (Promenade of the Republic), San Martin Square and the Plaza Mayor (Main Square of Lima), with their different buildings: Government Palace, Archibishop's Palace, the Basilica Cathedral and the Municipal Palace.

We continue our tour at the Convent of San Francisco, which was built in colonial times and still today keeps all the treasures from the Spanish era, including subterranean catacombs. After visiting the centre of Lima we will head to the modern section of this great metropolis and will visit the district of San Isidro, stopping at its Olive Grove. Finally we will visit the district of Miraflores with its nice shopping center named Larco Mar, which was built on a spectacular cliff overlooking the Pacific Ocean. Afterwards you will be conducted to a local restaurant where we will enjoy traditional Peruvian food. After lunch we will drive to the Ruins of Pachacamac, located around 40 minutes south of Lima. In order to get better
understanding of this important archaeological site, we will visit first the Pachacamac Museum, which is located at the entrance of the ruins. At this museum we will be able to see various ancient relics found at the site during archaeological excavations. Among the remains, we will see various decorated ceramics, textiles and carving woods representing Pachacamac God. Afterwards we will leave the museum and will start to explore the site with our local guide. During our walking through the sanctuary we will visit its most important pyramids, in which stands out the north pyramid, a well preserve estructure with truncated shape. The north pyramid allows from its top amazing views of the nearby Lurin Valley and the Pacific Ocean. From the top you can also see the large plazas the Incas built to received hundreds of pilgrims who venerated this god. On our tour we will also see the Acllahuasi temple or the house of Mamaconas (name given to a particular group of women, sent from Cusco or other important cities to come to the place and take care of the religious ceremonies and the production of fine textiles for the nobility). Finally you will return to your hotel in Lima. End of the service.
